Step 4: Connect and Use

  1. After successful import, view the node list
  2. Tap the “Latency Test” icon (lightning bolt)
  3. Wait for the test to finish, select a node with lower latency
  4. Tap the “Connect” button in the center
  5. iOS will prompt for VPN connection confirmation, tap “Allow”
  6. Once connected, a VPN icon will appear in the status bar

Success

Connected! You can visit google.com in Safari to test if the connection is working.

Advanced Features

Routing Rules

Smartly route domestic traffic directly and foreign traffic through proxy.

  • Rule Mode: Auto-route based on rules (Recommended)
  • Global Mode: Route all traffic through proxy
  • Direct Mode: Route all traffic directly (Proxy off)

DNS Configuration

Prevent DNS pollution and improve page load speed.

  • System Default: Use system DNS
  • Proxy DNS: Query DNS through proxy (Recommended)
  • Custom DNS: Manually set DNS servers (e.g. 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8)
Siri Shortcuts

Toggle proxy via voice or automation scripts.

  1. Open "Shortcuts" app
  2. Create new shortcut, add "Open App" action
  3. Select Hiddify Next
  4. Name it "Start Proxy" to control via Siri

Optimization Tips

Battery Saving
  • Background App Refresh: Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh, ensure Hiddify Next is on.
  • Low Power Mode Optimization: Enable in Hiddify Next settings to reduce background activity automatically.
Network Optimization
  • TCP Fast Open: Enable in app settings to improve connection speed.
  • Auto Reconnect: Automatically reconnect when network is interrupted.
  • Smart Routing: Auto-select best path based on network conditions.

Control Center Toggle

  1. Go to Settings > Control Center
  2. Find VPN and add it
  3. Swipe down for Control Center to toggle quickly

Widget

  1. Long press empty area on Home Screen
  2. Tap + in top left
  3. Search Hiddify Next and add

FAQ

VPN connection request denied?
Usually due to conflict with other VPNs. Please go to **Settings** > **General** > **VPN & Device Management**, check and delete old configs, then retry.
No internet after connecting?
Check if the node is available. Tap the lightning icon in node list to test speed, select a node with a number (e.g., 50ms). If all timeout, check subscription expiration.
Can't find app in App Store?
Check your Apple ID region. Some regions may restrict such tools; recommend switching to US or HK ID.
