- Select Node: View nodes in list, click Lightning Icon to test latency.
- Start Proxy: Click the large round button in the center.
- Confirm Status: Button turns green, showing “Connected”.
Success
System Proxy Enabled! Your browser and most apps are now using the proxy. Visit Google in Edge or Chrome to verify.
Advanced Configuration
System Proxy vs TUN Mode
- System Proxy: Default mode, suitable for web browsing. May not work for some software (games, command line) that ignore system proxy.
- TUN Mode: Virtual network interface mode, captures all system traffic. Suitable for global proxy needs (games, CLI tools). Enable TUN Mode in settings (Requires Admin privileges).
Start on Boot
Let Hiddify start with Windows and connect automatically.
- Go to Settings
- Check Start on Login
- Recommended: also check Connect on Start
- Check Silent Start to minimize to tray on boot
FAQ
Browser no internet after connecting?
- Check if browser has proxy extensions (like SwitchyOmega) installed; set to "System Proxy" or disable them.
- Check Windows Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy, confirm "Use a proxy server" toggle is ON and managed by Hiddify.
Windows Defender warning?
Proxy software involves low-level network operations and may occasionally be flagged. Ensure you downloaded from official GitHub or this site, and add to trust/exclusion list.
