This tutorial will guide you step-by-step through downloading, installing, and configuring Hiddify Next on Windows systems. Even if you’re a complete beginner, you can easily follow this guide to complete the setup.

📋 System Requirements

Before starting, please ensure your system meets the following requirements:

Operating System: Windows 10 (1903) or higher
Architecture: x64 (64-bit)
Memory: At least 2GB RAM
Storage: At least 100MB available space
Network: Internet connection required

🔽 Step 1: Download the Client

First, we need to download the Hiddify Next client from official channels.

Visit our Download Center page
Find the “Windows (x64)” row and click the “Download .exe” button
The file will start downloading to your default download folder

⚠️ Warning

Security Note: Please ensure you only download from the official GitHub page and avoid third-party download sites. After downloading, it’s recommended to verify the file’s SHA256 checksum.

⚙️ Step 2: Installation and First Launch

Double-click the downloaded .exe file to start installation
If Windows Defender shows a warning, click “More info” and then select “Run anyway”
Follow the installation wizard to complete installation, using default settings is recommended
After installation is complete, launch Hiddify Next

💡 Tip

Tip: On first launch, Windows Firewall may ask whether to allow network access. Please select “Allow access” to ensure the program works properly.

🔧 Step 3: Basic Configuration

Adding Subscription Links

In the main interface, click the "+" button in the top right corner
Select “Add Subscription”
Paste your subscription link in the URL field
Enter a custom name (optional)
Click “Add” to complete

Manual Server Configuration

If you don’t have a subscription link, you can manually add servers:

Click the "+" button and select “Add Server”
Choose the appropriate protocol type (Shadowsocks, VMess, VLESS, etc.)
Fill in the server information provided by your service provider
Click “Save” to complete

🚀 Step 4: Connect and Test

Select the server or subscription you want to use from the server list
Click the “Connect” button in the main interface
Wait for the connection status to show “Connected”
Open your browser and visit a test website to verify the connection

🔧 Advanced Settings

System Proxy Mode

Global Mode: All traffic goes through the proxy
Rule Mode: Automatically decide whether to use proxy based on rules
Direct Mode: All traffic goes direct (proxy disabled)

Performance Optimization

Go to Settings → General
Adjust Concurrent Connections (recommended: 4-8)
Enable TCP Fast Open if supported
Configure DNS settings as needed

❓ Common Issues

Connection Failed

Check if the server information is correct
Try switching to a different server
Check if your network allows proxy connections

Slow Speed

Try servers closer to your location
Adjust concurrent connection settings
Check if other applications are consuming bandwidth

Cannot Access Certain Websites

Switch from Global Mode to Rule Mode
Update subscription to get the latest rules
Manually add routing rules if needed
